Kim Lorz, one of the founders of FreeHand Systems, Inc., has spent more than 25 years in the investment banking arena where he developed a keen sense of how to assess the management and performance potential of emerging growth companies. His understanding of strategic and tactical business planning has been applied to assist companies in financial restructuring to maximize valuation. He not only provides the nurturing and support required to develop a company from an early stage, focusing its attention on the sound fundamentals that are required for success, but has managed the overall operations of many companies. He has a keen understanding of the financial controls, procedures and structure required for a successful operation and the ability to recognize appropriate staffing talent and to motivate and incentivize employees.

Mr. Lorz is a member of the Business Advisory Council to the National Republican Congressional Committee, is the Manager of KAL Equity Capital Fund, LLC, a venture fund providing start up "second angel round" financing to technology, telecommunications and Internet companies. In addition to managing the KAL Equity Capital Fund, Mr. Lorz has mentored and managed FreeHand Systems from inception to present. He has continued to manage the financing and development of its various products and successfully completed the acquisition of a leading digital catalog company. His previous experience includes many years of association with national and regional investment banking firms in a broad spectrum of industries from telecommunications, gaming, film studios, fast food franchises and technology companies. He has managed companies from the idea stage through sale or public offerings. Mr. Lorz has formed lasting investment banking relationships that include an extensive national and international Wall Street network.

Mike Hamilton Mike Hamilton
Senior Vice President of Operations & Business Development

Mr. Hamilton, one of the founders of FreeHand Systems, Inc., led the initial team of engineers that developed FreeHand’s flagship product, the MusicPad Pro. He is the author of the MusicPad patent and currently manages the Operations of the company as well as developing strategic partnerships with other companies and individuals. He has held a variety of executive management and engineering positions during the past 20 years, most recently managing the engineering effort at Cylink Corp. and designing a variety of encryption/security products. He has also designed a wide range of communication products as well as precision time and frequency equipment and held a number of upper management and executive positions in the High Tech industry.

Mr. Hamilton has held technical advisory positions for both ANSI and ETSI standards committees as a subject matter expert in the area of Time and Frequency and Digital Communications. He received his Bachelors degree in Applied Mathematics from San Jose State University.

Ted Schroeder

Chief Technology Officer

Ted Schroeder, one of the founder of FreeHand Systems, Inc., was a founding engineer at Alteon Web Systems, Inc. a world leader in content aware switching, subsequently acquired by Nortel Networks Corporation (Symbol:NT). He is a member of the Technical Advisory Board of NetOctave, a Raleigh, NC-based developer of silicon-based network security solutions and has been a regular speaker and panel member at technical conferences around the world.

Mr. Schroeder's 20 year business career includes software consulting in the data and voice networking industry and engineering and engineering management at a number of startups, primarily in data and voice networking. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Math from Case Western Reserve University, where he graduated magna cum laude, and a Master of Science Degree in Computer Engineering. Mr. Schroeder is a singing member and a Director of the Santa Clara Chorale and an accomplished pianist.

Iris Grable

Ms. Grable has over 25 years of General Management experience, including Sales & Marketing, Business Development and Operations in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), Disk Drive, and VoIP Industries. With over 14 years of EMS experience, she has contributed in all levels of the manufacturing environment including International Manufacturing Services (IMS), now Celestica Corporation, SCI Systems, and AVEX Corporation. Ms Grable was a co-founder of IMS (International Manufacturing Services) and as VP of Marketing and Business Development she helped facilitate the start-up in the US and Asia which later grew to revenues in excess of $300million annually. She managed the worldwide representative base, provided business development, helped facilitate the acquisition of Pentagon System, contributed to taking IMS public and was responsible for several high-end customers with product builds in Asia and Mexico. Celestica Corporation later acquired IMS.

Most recently Ms. Grable was VP of Worldwide Manufacturing for Quicknet Technologies, a leading provider of VoIP products and services where she converted all in-house procurement to a full turnkey product saving 45-70% over 5 product lines. In addition, she authored and implemented a variety of processes and procedures to effectively improve the efficiency of the Manufacturing, Production and New Product Introduction (NPI) functions.

Ms. Grable holds a B.S. degree in Business Management from Pepperdine University, a CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) from UCLA and was an adviser and board member of Manufacturing Market Insider (MMI) for several years.

Sarah Shreve

Ms. Shreve has over 20 years sales experience in business communications, voice, data, and network services businesses. As Vice President Sales she has the overall responsibility for FreeHand’s efforts to sell its products into retail music stores, major accounts and other channels throughout the United States and Internationally. Ms. Shreve has most recently been Vice President and General Manager of Expanets where she was responsible for a $50M business and a10% increase in margin. She serviced as a Regional Vice President for Lucent Technologies, Inc. from 1996 through 1999 where she had responsibility for P/L for a $150M Business Communications Products business that grew by 42% overall during her tenure. Her early sales experience was with AT&T Global Business Systems from 1978 - 1996.

Ms. Shreve is a two time recipient of the Corporate Excellence Award at AT&T and was a five time AT&T Leaders Council member. She has a BA degree from Stanford University in Palo Alto.

Marlin Eller

Marlin Eller was the co-founder and CEO of Sunhawk.com Corp./Sunhawk Digital Music LLC, acquired by FreeHand Systems, Inc. in April 2003. From 1982 to 1995, Mr. Eller held the position of Manager, Software Development at Microsoft Corporation where he was the development lead for GDI, the graphics subsystem of Windows 1.0; development lead for Pen Windows; and the designer of handwriting recognition software. While at Microsoft, he was named as the inventor of six patents, led groups involved in video and data compression and encryption and started the Microsoft online services.

Mr. Eller received his Bachelor of Art, Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude, in Mathematics/Physics from Whitman College in 1974 and his Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Washington in 1979. He co-authored the book, Barbarians Led by Bill Gates, published by Henry Holt, Inc. in 1998, and co-authored the article, “Multiple-Scattering Calculations of X-Ray Absorption Spectra” published by The American Physical Society in 1995. He was a visiting instructor in Computer Science at Williams College for two years prior to joining Microsoft and serves on the Board of Firefighters National Trust, a non-profit organization supporting the families of fallen firefighters by providing bereavement counseling, short term financial support for families and scholarships for their children. Mr. Eller is also an accomplished musician.

Clyde Beswick

Clyde Beswick provides the marketing strategies and oversees all creative execution for the company. He has been involved in marketing and advertising since 1972 with experience in financial services, consumer electronics, insurance, credit card marketing, retailing, package goods, automotive, fund raising, software and many others. He has managed all areas of the marketing process with key emphasis on effective, results-oriented marketing, developing and implementing marketing plans which include direct response marketing, Web marketing, lead generation and collateral marketing. Working in Philadelphia, New York City and California, clients have included Mitsubishi, General Motors, Ford, Warner Lambert, Wells Fargo Bank, SunBank and WebTV.

He has held positions as Executive Vice President, Direct Marketing Corporation of America, overseeing all divisions of the oldest direct marketing agency in Los Angeles, started his own advertising agency in 1986 specializing in financial services, fund raising and consumer goods advertising, was Creative Director with Direct Partners, a $50 million agency with clients such as Web TV, Mitsubishi Motors and Direct TV and Direct Response Specialists, a Los Altos, CA-based full service advertising and direct marketing agency, founded in 1994, with special emphasis on direct marketing and Internet based marketing services.

Bruce Donnelly

Bruce Donnelly is a Composer/Arranger/Orchestrator in Southern California. Recent projects include work for films "The Contender", "Call Me Claus" and "Out of the Black", the HBO series "Mind of the Married Man", recording artists Innis, Chris Duran, Thelma Houston, and the Yes Symphonic Tour and upcoming album "Magification".

Other compositions and arrangements include numerous contributions to the NBC, CBS, and Network Music libraries, the PBS specials "The Memory Of All That . . . Gershwin on Ice Starring Dorothy Hamill," "Gung Ho", and many shows for Disney, including ABC's "Disney Easter Parade", and "Doug Live" for Disney World.

A graduate of the University of Southern California, Mr. Donnelly also has composed a number of serious works, and performs occasionally as a pianist with the San Diego Symphony and San Diego Chamber Orchestra. He is the Chairman of the company's Technical Advisory Board.

Karen Page Carlon

V.P. Corporate Development, Secretary/Treasurer

Ms. Kupfer began her business career with a publicly-held insurance company where she developed expertise in operations, SEC regulations and compliance and investor/shareholder relations. She then worked for a Citicorp subsidiary where she began to hone her marketing skills. She continued to expand her marketing capabilities when she joined the oldest direct marketing agency in Los Angeles. Subsequently, she worked for one of the largest direct mail production companies in the U.S. and at a publicly-held direct mail manufacturer where she had responsibilities in both operations and sales. She has spent the last 10 years affiliated with investment banking.

Ms. Kupfer is a member of the Board of Directors of the Santa Clara Chorale, a member of American Association of University Women, Who's Who in American Business and is the corporate secretary of KAL Equity Capital Fund. Ms. Kupfer graduated from California State University Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science where she also completed post-graduate work and earned an Early Childhood Teaching Credential.

Ms. Kupfer is an accomplished musician, having played the piano since the age of four.
