FreeHand
Systems releases its conductors model, the MusicPad Maestro™
New
product uses similar technology to FreeHand’s MusicPad Pro®
to revolutionize the conductor’s podium.
LOS
ALTOS, Calif. – March 30, 2006 –FreeHand Systems, Inc.
(“FreeHand”), wholly owned subsidiary of FreeHand Systems
International, Inc. (OTC:FSYI), the elite digital music company
whose revolutionary technology is shaping the future of the distribution
and performance of sheet music announced, today, the release of
its MusicPad Maestro™.
The
MusicPad Maestro will be available in the US in May 2006 and is
also available through Tom Lee Music in Hong Kong and mainland China,
Yamano Music in Japan and other FreeHand distributors around the
world. “The release of our MusicPad Maestro product now puts
FreeHand’s products in the forefront of what all orchestras,
educators, and groups have been seeking,” said Kim Lorz, CEO.
“We see the MusicPad Maestro as helping to complete our goal
of driving performers in the direction of performances with digital
sheet music and eliminating the need for paper.”
The
MusicPad Maestro is a 19” TFT resistive touch screen unit
providing the conductor a 2-page view. Its innovative touch screen
allows the user the ability to make marks and notations right on
the page of music, store, change and delete marks as needed. Its
back-lit screen eliminates the need for external lighting. A quick
touch on the screen or tap on the optional foot pedal and hands-free
page turning becomes a reality for the conductor.
Other key product features of the
MusicPad Maestro include:
- RAM: 256MB
- Hard Drive: 40GB
- Resistive Touch Screen, 19" TFT
- Screen Resolution: 1280x1024
- 1 USB port
- 1 Ethernet (LAN) connection
- 1 External VGA port
- Wireless 802.11 b/g
- Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
- 1-year warranty
John Papandria, band director at Ben
Davis High School who has been using the Maestro along with MusicPad
Pro unit for his entire band says, “The MusicPad Maestro provides
great benefits. I now have a large score page to rehearse and I
am able organize all of my scores and mark them using different
colors to remind me of various aspects of the music. I can write
quizzes, prepare vocabulary, download and distribute music all from
the same place, my Maestro.”
FreeHand is revolutionizing the sheet
music performance market and the MusicPad Pro®, the MusicPad
Maestro, along with the company’s digital sheet music website
(freehandmusic.com) provide both a new method of distribution and
a new method of performance.
