FREEHAND
SYSTEMS SIGNS DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH RENOWNED GERMAN MUSIC
PUBLISHER, SIKORSKI MUSIKVERLAGE.
LOS
ALTOS, Calif. – November 7, 2006 – Freehand Systems,
Inc., subsidiary of FreeHand Systems International, Inc. (OTCO:
FSYI) announced today that it has signed a distribution agreement
with Sikorski Musikverlage. Sikorski Musikverlage, a well known
German publisher founded in 1935, specializes in contemporary
music from around the world. Sikorski’s fundamental emphasis
has been the production of composers from the former Soviet Union,
including Dmitri Shostakovich, Sergei Prokofiev, Aram Khatchaturian
and Dmitri Kabalevsky. Later composers to join the catalog have
been Alfred Schnittke, Sofia Gubaidulina, Galina Ustvolskaya,
Peter Ruzicka, Jan Müller-Wieland, Lera Auerbach, Benjamin
Yusupov and Xiaoyong Chen, representing an important part of
European music history.
FreeHand
will distribute a collection of contemporary works from the Sikorski
catalog via its freehandmusic.com website and through its in-store
digital download to print program SheetMusicNow, filling an important
gap in the current distribution network for this specialist material.
Sikorski joins the growing list of publishers that have chosen
FreeHand Systems as their partner for the digital distribution
of sheet music, including Universal Edition, Oxford University
Press, Schott Musik International and Josef Weinberger.
“Adding
Sikorski to our growing list of publishers moves us forward toward
our goal of being the most complete online source for digital
sheet music of all genres,” says Kim Lorz, CEO of Freehand
Systems.
