FreeHand
Systems, a privately held Silicon Valley company with the goal of
reinventing music for musicians worldwide, has created the MusicPad
Pro Plus, a revolutionary electronic device that changes the way
musicians compose, arrange and perform their art.
The
MusicPad Pro Plus fits neatly on a music stand, solving the age-old
problem of turning music pages by letting musicians simply touch
the screen. It also creates a paperless environment by providing
storage capacity for an entire music library of more than 5,000
pages of sheet music. Plus, with FreeHand’s digital music
store, www.sunhawk.com,
musicians everywhere can download over 35,000 scores already formatted
for easy transfer to their MusicPad Pro.
The
MusicPad Pro Plus digital sheet music tablet is housed in a charcoal
grey ABS polymer enclosure not much larger than a sheet of paper.
Weighing just over four pounds, it is lightweight, easy to carry
and comes with a built-in rechargeable battery. It has an easy-to-read,
low glare, backlit 12.1-inch TFT LCD display. Key features include
zoom in and zoom out capabilities and on-screen color highlighters
and pens to add or erase rehearsal marks and notations. Digital
music files in PDF, jpg and other popular graphics formats can be
directly imported into the MusicPad Pro using the Music Manager
software provided with the device. Printed music can be scanned
into a computer and then imported.
Pricing
& Availability
The MusicPad Pro Plus is available for purchase on FreeHand System’s
website (www.freehandsystems.com) and through FreeHand Authorized
Resellers around the world for a suggested retail price of $1,199.
